Maraetai Beachlands Kindergarten
INFORMATION FOR OUR PARENTS/WHANAU ABOUT OUR KINDERGARTEN
Our Kaupapa/Philosophy involves a child centered, resourced based programme incorporating the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whaariki.
This promotes:
- Well-being-Mana atua
- Belonging-Mana Whenua
- Contribution-Mana Tangata
- Communication-Mana Reo
- Exploration-Mana Aoturoa
Our teachers act as facilitators in a stimulating, supportive environment to empower tamariki/children to be independent learners.
We acknowledge and respond to ideas and values of Whanau/Family and welcome their involvement.
Our programme supports the learning and use of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori.
All staff have a Diploma of Teaching or a Degree in Early Childhood Education and hold current First Aid Certificates.
